We provided Schumacher with a very narrowly scoped first set, to which they have not yet responded and are past due.

Cristina Buckley is a former Design Director and Creative Director at F. Schumacher & Co. During her tenure, she publicly described researching Schumacher's historical archives, working closely with longtime Schumacher archivist Richard Slavin, and selecting historical Vera Neumann designs for reintroduction.In a 2017 article entitled Vera & Schumacher at https://theeyehasit.com/2017/04/13/vera-schumacher/, Ms. Buckley wrote that she rediscovered Vera's archival materials while serving as Creative Director and participated in the 2005 relaunch of several Vera Neumann designs under the Decorators Walk label. She specifically discussed the relaunch of Birches and Happy Leaves, and Plum Blossoms, described discovering Vera's archival documents, and wrote about other Vera designs including Tibet, Jack in the Pulpit, and Leaf Fantasy, demonstrating detailed familiarity with Schumacher's historical Vera archive. She also explained that she worked with Schumacher's longtime archivist, Richard Slavin, to learn the history of those designs.Because of her publicly acknowledged involvement with Schumacher's archives and Vera Neumann designs, Vera Neumann, Inc. believes Ms. Buckley may possess documents and information relevant to several issues in this litigation.Under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, parties may seek documents from non-parties who are reasonably believed to possess information relevant to the claims or defenses in a lawsuit. Issuing a subpoena does not imply that the recipient engaged in any wrongdoing.
